for all the stupid ppl out there, I play hockey regulary and I ski 4 weeks a day during the entire ski season, i was very skeptical about this machine too when i first saw this and thought this was a "women" machine, i tried it for 30 minitues with a personal trainer and after that all my muscles ached such as after a long day of skiing, sooo try first, comment after in my personal experience this is a serious workout machine to stay healthy and fit, not to become a mastadon

I have tried it now for 6 months with my regular training program.(5 days strength training,4 days cardio training) And i would not buy this machine. But i did give it a fair chance. Maybe for a massage, but not for any training.

@GODLIKE20000 Its not like that. It recruits more muscle fibre than a basic resistance exercise. The idea is you actually exercise on it- Never "just stand" dynamic exercises on the plate recruit 98% of the muscle fibre it wont get you Big, it will work you harder though.
-
It does work. The technology is quite simple actually. Imagine standing on an old fashioned balance board. As the board leans one way the muscles in the leg will contract to stop you falling off. Thats what the plate does, but on a ridiculosly fast scale, yes- upto 50hz , 50 muscular contractions per second.
O.k a basic resistance exercise recruits 30% of the fibre (mainly fast twitch). Leaving 70% unrecruited,. The plate recruits 98% of muscle fibre.

I lost 12kg within half a year of using the plate twice a week for ten minutes. I still use it and I am holding my weight. It won't work for untrained "fat" people though as you have to work with tension and have to be able to control single parts of your body. It is energyzing, strengthening and it increases your metabolic rate. Recommendable to anyone who is open to try something new... that actually works!

Have no idea about the whether it helps reduce fat, I work out regularly at a gym so haven't used it for that, but it has done wonders for my knee which I damaged years ago.For the sceptics, at least have the decency to try it before knocking it.

"You can stand on this plate for 30 seconds to a minute and you can get some cardiovascular, full body workout in 8 to 10 minutes."
Incredible!!!! Those old coin-operated, vibrating hotel beds must have been great workout machines! (Hah.)
I remain very skeptical.
I gues its cool but takes the fun and hard earned work out of being in shape. People are too lazy now a days. If it helps with injury thats cool though.
