모니터 비율의 논란? 사실 좀 해묵은 논란일지 모르는데요, 얼마 전 다나와 대결 맞짱을 통해 알아본 모니터 비율의 선호도 투표에서 16:10 비율의 모니터가 16:9 비율의 모니터보다 무려 2배 이상 앞선 투표율을 보여줬습니다.

Modern high-res monitors need to fit a 1600x1200 image at the minimum. For that reason, 1920x1080 can go die in a fire for all I care, making 1920x1200 the effective minimum for me with a new monitor. Guess which is 16:9 and which is 16:10?

I certainly don't feel gaming is better with a wider screen, just more resolution. Don't know where people are getting that from.

Fortunately, I can find a good 24" 19x12 PVA monitor for $235 shipped. Beats all the 1080p TN crap at that price.

16:9 is enough

there is not such a big "gamebreaking" difference

just a few pixxels

@vanekatok. As you say. 16:10 monitors are so ridicolous expensive nowadays. So few people buy and like them which means they produce less 16:10 monitors and they can cut less costs in that production. Only fools buy 16:10 today!

you get 2x 2560x1440 for the price of a single 2560x1600, so no logic in paying twice money for 11% more resolution, same is for the Cinema display with 21:9 aspect ratio, if you pay twice the money for not seeing those black bars, great for you, as for me , better pay for a premium 60" 16:9 than for a 50" 21:9, or an even better solution would be a projector, but that's the way i see it
