Hi, This is Mara with Fiber Art TV.
Bodies of water are an intricate part of my life. I've spent most of my life living on an island or coastline. Vast ranges of blues can be seen in oceans and seas which inspired the OCEANIA SERIES.
Multicolored cotton and metallic threads are unraveled, bound, wrapped and woven in three layers for these fiber art wall hangings using my original technique.

The need for clothing woven from yarn and thread is no longer a basic necessity but a huge billions of dollars industry employing millions of designers, weavers, dyers, sewers, textile mills and fiber artists. My fiber art fascination is with the endless possibilities that can be achieved starting with one simple thread.
