How To: Play Video and Subtitles together, in any Media Player

Do you got a video file? You want to play with with subtitles under, in your Media Player? You find out how in this video.

First, you need to download the program/codec VobSub. It's 100% free, and small filesize. This little application will help the Media Player to play the Subtitles with the video.

Download VobSub: http://adf.ly/1NJIh

Now, if you don't have a subtitle file (.srt .ssa .sub etc.), you must download it. You can download from many websites, mysubtitles.org, opensubtitles.org. I would use: http://www.subscene.com/
Now, you put the subtitles in the same folder as the video file, and rename them so they got the same name (the video and subtitle file must have the same name) Now open the VIDEO files with a Media Player and the subtitles will be there automaticly.

I've connected my hard disc through the media player on the TV. I can see the subtitles but they appear on the screen in some weird language/format. Do you know why or how to change it? on the pc the subtitles are shown just fine.
