Google Fading Homepage

Google is testing a homepage design that only shows the logo and search box. When you move the mouse, everything else fades in. The buttons are missing.

I got thrown in this "experiment" and I would hesitate anytime I wanted to search for something. I cleared my cookies and session data and it fixed it!

Now however, they have another homepage experiment, which has colorful buttons and the results page looks more like Bing's layout.

Holy crap is this ever annoying me. Please get rid of it Google!

It may not be bothering some of you, but for those of us who perpetually have 10-50 tabs open at a time, it's drastically increasing the load time, also the window focus being hijacked leads to unfun results, esp. in IE8 when trying to use the address bar.

if you use firefox , you can use the greasemonkey extension to alter the script and disable the fading
