sucks but it's true... GLC is way better than GL right now, it's a more enjoyable read, the stories are not rushed like they are in GL to me Johns lost his way after Secret Origin feels like hes overdoing the hole multicolored corps thing not giving any of 'em a fair chance to develop timely I agree, GLC much more interesting right now!
Battle for the cowl! love it, but it's bs... they are not delivering as promised and i feel that issue 3 will be extremely rushed ... New Krypton: *YAWN*

I LOVE JASON TODD! But not in that way. Can't help it, since his return his grim edge has just won me over.
I won't BOO but I did enjoy GL #39 a heck of alot. I'm waiting on the CORPS to see what happened after last issue.
So far I have only read GL and Cowl :(
Good reviews thanks.

The black mask plot doesn't seem that important in Battle for the Cowl. Sry for doing this but BOO(lol). I loved Agent Orange and it was my book of the week as GL always is. Secret Six is also as fantastic as always. Ragdoll's dream was hillarious. Jeanette is the chicks name. The new superman status quo excluding Robinson's superman is really good.

Fair enough.
Thanks for the great blog. I really enjoy your reviews and look forward to it every week.
You used some very disturbing words in describing Battle for the Cowl: interesting; pretty good stuff; very fun; fun. Battle for the Cowl was horrible, it's nothing but one TDK monologue after the other. How can you say GL was rushed after reading Battle for the Cowl?

I expect more from GL because everyone's hailing it as the best thing since Watchmen (the book, not the movie). It's a direct precursor to DC's next "big crossover".
Battle for the Cowl, however, is a nucleus for a series of very interesting one-shots during a three-month span before we resolve Bruce Wayne's 'death'.

so...you want Johns to "write for the trade"?
sorry Craig but I completely disagree with you on Green Lantern. Like Final Crisis I don't think you need to have everything explained to you as it goes along.
I like the fact that Johns is packing a lot of story into this book and unlike Bendis he gives the reader value for money.

I wouldn't say I want Johns to "write for the trade". Quite the opposite, I think he's doing that right now.
It's just that GL feels like a stock "meet a new different-colored alien, fight a battle, etc." It's like old Star Trek: the only difference is color instead of wrinkles on the forehead.

I agree with your comments about Green Lantern.
I know you said there was no indy books that you found interesting, but did you even look at Locke and Key or Dead Irons?

I opened Locke and Key, but I'm so behind on that series I couldn't give it a fair review. As for Dead Irons, we don't carry it.
