I think there's a technical term (in Chan Buddhism) for these type of 'zennists', Blockheads! If they were more familiar with the Ancients they'd know this. What Mr. Warner is describing is a Japanese (cult-like) Soto interpretation of Chinese Chan Buddhism.
@MrChava685 video the word "mere" is quantative so you've called him not just a a "prattler but a "mere" prattler as if there are greater things to be than a prattler. I consider this vid a lesson in history and origin by someone who enjoys teaching and I appreciated it. I don't think he was prattling at all. Even if he was a prattler, I would rather spend 10 hours with a pratller than 5 minutes with a curmudgeon. Criticism has become your hindrance.
Meditation has naught to do with sitting, though. You say "the Zazen" practice, but formal sitting is itself a ritual, that, as you say many times, is ultimately good for nothing (as Kodo Sawaki used to say). - What is not talked a lot on your blog is what Zen was really originally about (before Dogen's very Japanese/Tendai phenomenalist interpreation of it): the Lankavatara Sutra, realizing Buddha Mind, the Mind-only Doctrine.
Brad is a good looking guy :)

this video doesnt convey the concept of chan/zen/lankavatara/meditation tradition in the correct manner.
