BC Transit currently have 6 New Flyer DE40LF Hybrid buses (Diesel Electric power), they're powered by Cummins ISL-280 EPA2004 engine and Allison Ep40 Hybrid Power Drive~~

This clip was taken at Christmas Eve on route 22 (Hillside Mall-Vic General) heading to Downtown from Hillside Mall in Victoria, BC

  • WMATA has Cummins ISL, too! :)

  • @brownbrownson I still think this is better though lol

  • @TheButcher123001 nah. the old design C40LF is better. ;)

  • @brownbrownson This bus looks way better then any other bus.

  • What's with the absence of the rear window?

  • seats are similar to Translink :o

  • Some diesel/electric hybrid buses also used the Cummins ISB 260 engine.

  • The thing that was bad about EGR for Detroit was that it wasn't as effective as other engines had been with it. We have Neoplans with Series 50 EGRs that spew out thick black smoke more than our Flxibles. EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Its supposed to help in reducing NOx emissions from diesel exhaust.
