His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizaddin Waddaullah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Martyrs' Monument in the heart of Moscow on the second day of His Majesty's official visit to the Russian Federation.

Upon arrival at the Alexandrovsky Park, in the Kremlin, His Majesty was welcomed by the Deputy Military Commander of Moscow, Colonel Mikhail Filimonov and senior officials of the Russian Federation. The Martyrs' Monument recorded the history of the Russian soldiers who died defending the sovereignty of the country. The park is not only a Russian historical landmark, but is also a tourist attraction.

With His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Abdul Azim, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen. In 2005, the park became witness to his Majesty's visit when His Majesty attended a similar ceremony.
