@millionairejh my forehand has always weaker than my backhand, and I'm a player of strength..my fh is always less controlled than my bh, kind of like a loose canon. people have always told me that my bh is better than my fh, even though i disagreed. looking back with hindsight.
I tried a double handed bh, but found my accuracy to be less, and tried a double handed forehand to find it more stable.
i think it depends on the mechanics of the person.
its completely pointless IMO. ppl say its more stable, but ur telling me a big guy like him needs two hands to hit a ball... cmon. its just less efficient, and reducing ur swing radius and reach. i actually think its less reliable in the sense that its less maneuverable. i think the greatest strength of a fh is that u can manipulate it so much, hitting it from any position and still manage to hit a decent ball back.
I hit it with two hands on both sides too. It´s more stable and dependable. I guess it works for him too. He beat some bigtime players playing like that, as did Santoro and Pancho Segura (other two handers) so.... good enough for me.
I always hoped he would come back to the tour one last time and have some success be he never did of course. He still had a pretty descent career reaching #14 in the world including reaching the Miami Final once and Wimbledon quarters once.
i always believe it is better to hit the ball in than to go for killer shots...

Is so weird, he can hit pretty good one handed forehand, why bother with a double hander?
