I do like this scene - Book!Cersei comes off as a rather one dimensional bitch, TV!Cersei is a rather more intricate, tragic sort of character. Good stuff, hope Lena Headey continues to amaze in Clash of Kings.

I really need to stop watching this now...lol

A moving scene, i think. Its what i love about this series, everyone is human and you find bits of yourself in all. You arent so sure about whose side to take. Robert the drunk and cersei the distant share an intimate moment together and you see the true pain behind them for just a few minutes...before they go back to how they always were

Cersei is an evil bitch. But Robert was a lousy husband indeed, I couldn't blame her for betraying and cheating on him.

I like this scene because it seems to show what we never god from the POVs in the first book. I don't exactly know what makes it such a great scene compared to all the other ones but for me it was one of my favorites.

@incitingincidentsinc In book she admitts, that one time she was pregnant with Robert's child, but Jaimie found her old women, which "cleaned her". Most of the times Robert went for sex to the whores or he was too drunk to remember, what he did with Cersei in night - because she hated feeling him inside , she probably has given him hand-/blowjob frequently.

@JCRME32 ....Smart answer but i feel her pain. Would have said the same thing if in her shoes! Excellent excellent actress!

Was not certain about Mark Addy for the role as King Robert, but this scene, along with the one in the crypts at Winterfell conviced me...

that's a neat little trick you do you open your mouth and
your fathers voice comes out.
great scene

Robert didn't even know Lyanna really. Beautiful scene, and I like Robert in the show much better, but he was kind of an ass in the books.
She says Robert's "no" doesn't make her feel anything, but in her eyes you can see it clearly hurts her a great deal. Brilliant.
