@doughnutguy82 Also, in june, my wife and I went to see some family in Minneapolis, and a week before we got there, a wolf escaped from the Komo Zoo. Wide spread panic swept the city, and people were told to stay in there homes until this "dangerous animal" could be dealt with. They found it a few hours later, and it was shot. Now, just cause I have trees in my backyard, and no high fences, are they any less "dangerous" to my kids playing outside? That is my whole argument here.
@doughnutguy82 Okay...... Everyone is right. Wolves are great!!!! Yay!!! Gumdrops and rainbows and pink and green sherbet for everyone as we dance about in the happy rays of golden sun..... Here's one for ya, you really want to get the natural system of checks and balances back in order, let's bring back the T-Rex to get rid of some of these pesky humans. They're the ones that have REALLY thrown it all out of whack!!!!
I myself like to hunt and realize that hunters want to be able to do so, but its not all bout the hunter and what they want. ranchers loose cattle to wolves but they should expect that since they live where they do. just because it is their lively hood doesnt mean that other animals, such as wolves, dont have the right to make their own lively hood too. it makes me sad to think that there are so many hunters and cattle ranchers that are so selfish, to think of their interests only
just because the elk herds were very healthy doesn't mean that they weren't over populated. you may not like the fact that they reintroduced wolves and grizzly's back into that area but never the less they are an essential part of the eco system. however, being essential does not mean that we should let wolves breed like crazy and not be managed. their numbers should be kept at a level that allow wolves and other wild life to live healthily yet not be excessive.
@ralachapelle Well I'm sorry.... but I'd have to strongly disagree with you. I have a degree in Forestry as well as a wide variety of experience with Fish and Wildlife Dept. in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Prior to wolves, the herds were never healthier. And I have sat through countless meetings where the general public expressed NO interest in having wolves and grizzlies released in our backyards, but we got them anyway. Wouldn't you call that "down our throats"? You Moron....
@wardupyo "Shoved the wolves down your throats?" It's called the balance of nature you moron! The elk were overpopulated. That's one of the reasons the wolf was re-introduced. Don't get me wrong, I love elk just as much as you do, but their overpopulation is dangerous not only to the elk, but to humans as well.
I live in NW Montana, and it used to be a pretty regular thing to hear an elk bugle like this in the fall. But since the greenies shoved these wolves down our throats and they're now overpopulated, elk are getting more and more rare in these parts. A great big thanks to all the bunny huggers out there!!!!!!!!! Down with wolves!!!!! Long live the elk!!!!!!!
