The Real Honduras

This video gives a true glimpse of everyday life in the rural village of Gracias, Honduras, and other locations nearby. Many of the photos were taken, literally, just outside the door of our house. With this compilation, we have tried to assemble images that portray the various faces and places that we encountered throughout our stay. Some of these images are scenes of wanting and sadness, while others reveal the simplicity and basic camaraderie of the Honduran culture.

You are very lucky...Ceiba is a beautiful Caribbean town. Where we lived, much like the majority of Honduras, isn't so lucky, and life is pretty similar to the video for the average person.

its looks to me that: some pics are not from Honduras tho...since we don`t have indian people who makes their own closes i mean typical dresses ...i can see some native people from Guatemala ...so you have pics from Guatemala too?

Stunning, beautiful land. This gabacho is taken with the beauty and the joy of the people.  The children are amazing and the little girl in the multi color dress at about 2:30 is a perfect angel.

Great video! Regardless what some people might comment about Honduras in this video. I AM HONDURAN! Proud of it. I dont think Honduras is the ONLY poor country on earth. But one thing for sure, it does not matter how poor we are, we are happy with what we have...

i have family in Honduras since my mom is Honduran and my dad is half Honduran and Brazilian i worked a while on my granddads ranch in that area in San Sebastian a few miles up the road from gracias the countryside is beautiful but their gov't has to really step up in helping out in the country a little more mostly with the crime since homicides are a big factor in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula as well good pics to the maker of this video Viva Honduras from Atlanta, GA katracho brasileiro.
