blah blah other commenters. It is a good song, and a great woman.

@bittersweetsunrise I'm glad you didn't take offence :)

@bittersweetsunrise And I'd like to make another retraction to this comment: Siouxsie was born in 1957, where Madonna was born in 1958, so whereas Susan Janet Ballion is actually 54 in May this year, Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone turns 53 in August. They're a year and a few months apart.

@ButterflyRoseX Bless your little heart. I know you meant well, and nope, I didn't take offense to the comment.
And yes, I'll admit with Siouxsie, I was roughly ten years off. The debut album for Siouxsie and the Banshees is "Scream", in 1978. But Madonna wasn't in the mainstream until MTV, so what you see as the start of her musical career (I'm assuming you're referring to her work with her Dan Gilroy's The Breakfast Club around 1979?) wasn't her actual solo pop career which I'M referring to.

@jackiohead What do you mean musical career by "punk standards" ? Her career wasn't over 40 years, that's all I was saying. She has survived for a long time though, and still is at it, which is *wonderful* !
-
@ButterflyRoseX its a musical career by punk standards, most of those bands survived like a year, look what happened to the sex pistols what was it 4 years or less

Love her *belly dancing* here & the arab instruments she used in this song :)

she is fucking lovely

Worship Siouxsie, people. Because her musical career has spanned over forty fucking years, people. That's longer than Madonna, professionally (whom I also worship obsesively), even though they're the same age. I shit you not.
A woman who's career has grown stronger and more industrial with every concert, studio album and international tour.
It's a shame she's not as mainstream and appreciated here in the states as she is in Western Europe, because she defines genuine, raw, rock quality.
@bittersweetsunrise Not to sound mean, but Siouxsie hasn't had a musical career over 40 years. She roughly started in the mid to late 70s, which isn't even 40 years ago. And Madonna started in the late 70s. I grew up listening to them & am a big fan of both.

It's different, nevertheless. She sings for an hour or two a day at most. And I bet she's feeling great while she's doing it (like probably every performer out there)
