So Jesus just died in Matthew and the Zombies came to town. Very silly is Christianity.
27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Interesting video, Vladika. The Ascension Icon is the same as the Icon of Christ's Second Coming????

This brought up a question for me. I remember watching your video about, "Marriage as Revelation". But you didn't cover something that I've been having problem finding out about. What's the Orthodox Tradition about Marriage after the Second Coming. Could you clarify our position as to
-will there still be a way to procreate ie in a sexual sense
-will those who have became one body, remain one body
-what happens to those who have remarried
Reason I'm asking is because I read and hear so much
about how we "will live like angels". Should we be reading this literally? Also, I've heard many Orthodox Laity say that we will be like monastics. But I found it extremely revealing that in your video, you pointed out that not only should we pray, we should live prayfully. Such as when you made the comment about one of the greatest prayers in life being that of, "raising an honest and decent child". Which I completely believe to be true.

@apdd08 Living like angels means being free of cares, temptations and irrational desires. Remember that angels who remained loyal to God, resisting Satans temptation, were sealed in their faith to remain pure and in the very presence of God. About marriage: the necessity of marriage and procreation would not exist in heaven, but love will dominate. I cannot give an answer to some questions, and neither can anyone else. Only this: those necessities and desires which bind us will not bind us there

@apdd08 There, we will experience a unity of pure love. Since what the Church binds and looses on Earth, one is married to the one that the Church binds us to, and not the one the Church has loosed us from. That is the real reason for an "ecclesiastical divorce." An Orthodox marriage, lived as best we are able in an Orlthodox fashion, is a form of prayer, as well as a form of Revelation. Raising children the married couple asceticism and Prayer of the Heart. What is added to that is also good.
