  • The way you have started to string the mains in this video..... is this the correct or best way for 1 and 2 piece string jobs, or is it just for 2 piece?

it's just that I think i've seen other videos where people string one side of the mains first.

    any help is appreciated :)

  • @MidnightEDJK This is the correct way. Stringing one side of the mains before stringing the other is bad for the frame and is a practice avoided by professional stringers.

  • Most people that I know who do this "professionally" have to do something else on the side (i.e. run/own a tennis shop)

  • this is probably a stupid question.. but im just about to start stringing so i dno anything bout it.. but.. when u release the tension.. why does ur clamp move?? does that mean its releasing some of the tension?

  • @rspr1vates3rv3rs This is natural, some clamps do this more than others but they all do it.

  • You said that if you have 6 grommets at the bottom, you should start at the bottom. I always start at the top, is this a problem?

  • Yes... But, I feel you either are not sure as to what starting at the top means, or you've miss-counted somehow.

  • what do you mean by setting tension inside the clamp?

  • hi there i've been stringing for a while now and when your beginning to tension off the first two mains u pull both strings and u clamp off one of them. do you have any tips to prevent it from slipping other then tightening the clamp. Because too tight and u strangle the string and to loose and it shaves the outer layer of the string

  • @YULitle oh, 1 more question if you dont mind.. how hard is it to make a living from just stringing? is it possible if ur a good fast stringer? eg.. factory stuff or even big tourny work?

  • @YULitle i noticed that, i strung my first one today, worked out perfect ahaha.. learnt off your vids to so thanks alot man =] great guides
