Einstein and Global Warming

How is good science "absolutely based on consensus" ? If one plus one equals two, I don't need a majority of my peers to confirm it for me.
-
This is why I dislike the entire "peer-reviewed" scientific journal system. Forget what some scientist's "peers" think, look at the actual idea being put forward and decide for yourself based on REALITY, not consensus. Also, if any scientist is publishing a NEW idea, then how can he even have any peers with regards to that idea?

Now I know what happens when objectivism meets global warming: All that highfalutin 'rationality' goes out the window and (surprise!) pure market fundamentalism takes over - garnished with inane sentiment about the tyranny of consensus.

Global Warming can't be proven simply because it's emperical and like gravity. If they prove it's 'very likely' is that good enough? How about a 55% chance it'll cause big damage?
My position on global warming is that too many disagree and hence I await more definitive evidence. It bothers me that people say they 'believe' in global warming when their opinion about it is as worthless as their opinion of the boiling point of water.

"Did you know that, in the 1940's, 200 scientists wrote a consensus report to assert that Einstein's ideas were just Jewish junk?"
Ok, so clearly that was just an opinion and actually not science. (What was the evidence they presented?)
There's no question that scientists can/do use their 'credentials' for personal or political gain. But that's not science.

I agree with this video. Global Warming could be true, and it could also be "man-made", but the opposite could just as well be true, and as long as there is hysterical propaganda for one side -- I'll lean heavily to the skeptical side.

"Global Warming" is merely a idea created by the the Club of Rome, when brainstorming ideas for the United Nations to justify the United Nations' 50-year agenda of establishing a Socialist World Government under the United Nations.
-
Global Warming is perhaps one of the stupidest silliest ideas ever propagated by the Club of Rome.
-
Einstein existed.
"Global Warming" does not.
-
You can doubt all you want but HOW DARE you compare Einstein - the Nazi's and the fucking holocaust to this? What is your expertise in any of these areas based on? What an ASS you are!

the climate changes regardless of human interaction.
-
It's obvious that if only one scientist showed mounds of conclusive evidence for human-produced, climate change, all you deniers would suddenly demand a consensus.
i kindly disagree with your assertion that scientific peer reviews are not important in verifying scientific theories and claims. They are vital in proving that one's experimentation and means of reaching a conclusion can be proven unequivocally.

Mr. Shambles,
Peer review has been used to prevent and silence progress as much or more than to advance or protect it. Major breakthroughs are rarely made by academia's rank and file. Usually, such breakthroughs are found and trumpeted by someone outside the "establishment." Hence the dreary conformism among peer review journals.

Why do you automatically conflate acceptance of global warming with environmentalism? The former is a science involving physics and climatology, the latter is a political position.
And Einstein's quote was bad science on his part. Good science is absolutely based on consensus. It's not so simple as proving a mathematical equation. I'm surprised at you, Mr Cropper, for your gross oversimplification.

Wow, dudev! you say 'Good science is absolutely based on consensus.' Maybe you don't know about Aristarchus of Samos, Copernicus, Galileo or Einstein. Or any other scientists for that matter. How could you say such a thing?!
