A short tribute to the Shadows who probably more than any other group inspired us as teenagers to 'Have A Go'. and openened a new world of music and opportunities to us in th 60's.The memories of sitting in the listening booth of the 'Music Bo'x in Wells high street and hearing a sample of this new band (Drifters Later The Shadows) making music with electrified lumps of wood; will live with me forever.he Salvos were Somerset´s top band in the early 60s,they re formed in 2004, after featuring in a book on rock n roll, Singer Eddy Dark retired in 2010. Original band members are Nik Ponsillo Bass, Brian Mapstone Guitar, Mike Argent lead guitar, and John Lacey Drums. Brisans son Simon loined on Keyboards in 2006, Latest ,member, is Sheffield borne Guitarist and Singer John Barlow.
