India Islamic Center organised a musical evening Hamaari Yaad Ayegi in honour of Mubarak Begum who spell bound the audience with her songs. Listeners were transported the golden era of 50s and 60s.Sh Naveen Anand an avid music lover and a member of Sangeet Smriti was the person who made the program possible.Music was arranged by Sangeet smriti president Shikha Biswas and her talented dughter Tuhina sang some beautiful songs of Mubarak ji.Shikha BIswas also sang asthai mukhda of a song from The Return of Superman in which her father Legendary Anil Biswas had asked Mubarak Begum to sing the song.

I feel sad and disappointed to see Mubarak Begum singing her masterpiece song so tragically out of tune with no comparsion to original song.I hope that next time she is live she improves to keep the romance of original song.
