@CanMetan a solo is a "play time soul" , as well you can play with the time but there is a logic after all

This is one of my top tunes by the wonderful Mr Webster. Is it just me or in his collaboration with Peterson the latter took a back seat more often than when Ben played with Art Tatum? Hmmm... just thinking. Was listening to the double CD "The Legendary Sessions" today and thought that compared with "The Album" (Ben/Art), there's not as much parity as there was in the latter. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. In the meantime, I'm digging this. Thanks.

All the instruments sound amazing... it's just... the drum solos? Why are they so off the music? I both listen jazz and death metal. Death metal has many violent - creative drum solos but they are consistent with the music. I LOVE jazz, yet I'm not able to comprehend the drum solos of it
