@AmiMusicTree I think it's about the life of a Rock star, who's life is run down by drugs and the pressure of the business not to mention ruined relationships. RE Lindsay,,I think Stevie wrote it from her sub-conscious but doesn't realize it..Or doesn't want to beleive this happened. Love Her Still... Her Music Keeps Me Going Rock On

I worked for Stevie...actually worked for the band when they were at Sound City...and later, my wife divorced me...the woman who I loved more than anything in the world..the mother of my children...and I just fell apart...and I just listened to this song...could I pick up the pieces and go on? @AmiMusicTree ~ When asked about the song in an interview with Courtney Love for Spin in October 1997, Nicks said:
“ You know what, Courtney? I don't really know what "Gold Dust Woman" is about. I know there was cocaine there and that I fancied it gold dust, somehow. I'm going to have to go back to my journals and see if I can pull something out about "Gold Dust Woman". Because I don't really know. It's weird that I'm not quite sure. It can't be all about cocaine.
