Erich Hartmann was shot down in his early career, several times. He was not shot down and captured by the Russians, he flew to the West with his ground crew in the tail. The Americans handed him over to the Russians as he had served on the Eastern front. Erich Hartmann was captured in 1944 by the Russians and escaped. Who makes these shit documentaries?

00:28 Molders. The D model didn't fire through the prop hub that was the F. The E model had cannons in the wings. The narrow landing gear also helped transport on trains etc, not just for manufacture. 109's were not offensive or defensive fighters, they were intercepters. MW50 and GM1 are two different methods, ones for low Alt and the other for high... The 30mm cannon was only on the K version. Nosed over in a -G??? This guy is talking shit...

Oh my... they were sleeping when they made that film. They talk about A, B, C, D variants and show an 'emil' flying all the time. Then they show a 'Gustav' and talk about self sealing tanks...

very Wrong Facts the F2 had a 15 mm Cannons but soon the f4 took its place whit 1 20mm cannon and many pilots said in interviews said that the F4 was the best Aircraft they ever Flew

@fw190bk1 I have got too my two heros: general Stanislaw Skalski and my own granfather!. They where fight against your's country and nazi. But only Skalski were the pilot. After war and return home, he was ARRESTED and embedded to the death cell, where were few years!. Our's country were occupied by Germans and them by Russian and their polish supporters unluckily. I CAN BE A PROUD. But U should be quietly!. Skalski was too profesional but don't see U any differences?!. If not we can't talk!.
