David in his beloved tubby, and not wanting to leave! Footage to Paul Simon's song "The Boy in the Bubble"
When David was nearly two, I used to tell him the story of David Vetter...a remarkable child, who lived in a plastic bubble. We didn't like those horrible movies "based" off his life, but we had a real documentary, which we both loved. There was also a children's story book. It had great pictures, and David loved it, but it was pretty biased in making all the circumstances of the boy's problems sound okay.
As for medical science "lazers in the jungle", what they did to Vetter is debatable and dangerous, but i certainly believe he himself was a miracle and wonder.
Sorry for the sidetrack, he's my David making and breaking bubbles...
