  • The Gibson Les Paul Classic has a solid body, open humbuckers and a 1960 slim profile neck

Mine is a 1993 Honeyburst with an out of hidden phase switch linked to the tone control

The pickguard has 1960 etched in gold and the truss rod cover has the word CLASSIC, again in gold

  • A 12-year old Fender Performer 650

    Had it from new

Suits both my Strat, Tele and Les Pauls

I have a 20-Watt Marshall Studio amp but the Fender 650 leaves it for dead

  • I do use a pick occasionally

I saw Mark Knopfler live with Dire Straits in France some years back, when Love Over Gold was just released and was wowed by his right hand finger techniques

  • Individual Les Pauls are surprisingly variable

I have a great LP Classic, a smooth sounding LP Standard and GreySrat - a 1991 USA Strat Plus Deluxe

With a Marshall studio amp and a Fender Perfomer 650, so I am lucky enough to have good combinations of sound

  • Sure ... Pure cosmetics ... was going to sell the original on eBay but never got round to it !

  • What bridge PU are you using?

  • It's a genuine Gibson 500T "Super Ceramic" Humbucker - Zebra

I still have the black original

  • @trevwagner094 yes, but that defeats the purpose of a modelling amp in the first place...

  • @greensp4rk wrong, clean channel + decent pedal = good sound that isnt line 6

  • @trevwagner094 every guitar sounds the same on a line 6...

  • @TheGoldenGoliath23

you can see them at 0:40

  • im poor so i can only afford epiphones but my epiphone honestly sounds just as good as this through my line 6

  • is it me or is that les paul missing the b/a stings?

  • I was hoping to judge the guitar by listening to a "clean sound".

  • there's something lovely about a Les Paul. In my band I use botht a US Std Strat and Les Paul VOS 57 and they both have unique voices. The only thing I don't like about the Les Paul is that it weighs a ton. I gotta get my video camera set up and upload some of my own stuff.

  • on gibsobs web-site 8000 dollars

    but thats crowded

coz i have seen by my own about 4000
