We still can't believe it, so glad i took my camera along the last years... all the other earlier years are in our minds....

i was at the cubby bear in chicago a few days before garry passed away when the funk mob performed there. they played with heavy hearts. george looked like he was facing mortality in the face. so sad to watch the funk mob carry on but at the same time after seeing this band perform for the last thirty years garry wouldn't have wanted it any other way. rest in peace garry.

I kept trying to figure out who the voice of Starchild was.. i kept thinking it was Geroge but no, Garry Shider thank you for helping us ride with the funk

After I found out about Starchild I couldn't even listen to P Funk for a while, I went on a massive reggae binge. It was the same when Arthur Lee from Love died. They both inspired me so much. Just blessed to have been touched by the unique forces of those that have passed to the other shore and cherish those we still have ; )

@lookingoutpfunk I was at that show as well.. Idk if you remember but some guy ended up having a seizure during the show and was taking away by the paramedics.. Hugh Buzzkill but Hampton played one of the best verison of Maggot Brain I've heard live that night...
