  • When using the radios, they refer to dispatch as IC. What does that stand for?

  • Incident Command when arriving or enroute to an established incident.

  • @51ENGINE51, Lacofd station 33's in palmdale is one of countys busiest stations, perhaps the busiest in the county, averaging 20+ calls a day

  • Technically, Dispatch and IC are two different things. IC is the Incident Commander at the scene, usually a Battalion Chief or the Capt On scene. Dispatches "name" never changes to anything besides dispatch etc, or for example LACOFD's dispatch is called LA..
