ISMAIL SERAGELDIN Towards a Culture of Peace & Knowledge

Ismail Serageldin, director of the Library of Alexandria, talks about a culture of peace and knowlegde in relation to universal human rights and responsibilities, and on the significance of Wikipedia and the Library of Alexandria for consolidating this culture of peace, during the Videoconference 'UDHR Towards a Culture of Peace & Knowledge' in commemoration of the 60 Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with the participation of key figures of Wikipedia, Library of Alexandria, UNESCO, Club of Rome, the European Commission, Fundacion Cultura de Paz. This videoconference that took place at the IPRA Conference 2008, has been organised by M C Patricia Morales, for the UNESCO Chair on Building Sustainable Peace
