agreed, agreed. I probably meant to say modern wushu, I don't know, that's 1 year old comment.
the word wushu itself means martial art, the modern wushu is the thing that brought together some traditional styles, that's probably what I meant

what are u talking about?
wushu = name for all the martial art styles originated from china
so if ur talking about taiji, wing chun, mantis, tiger, crane, hong, liu, ba gua, shao lin WHAT EVER
it's all wushu
there is however a different between modern wushu and all the traditional styles
but don't twist the meaning of the word wushu itself

sorry...what I meant to say is that mantis is part of traditional wushu...
in fact, even the cumpolsory rotines are already considered traditional in many countries. What is called "modern" nowadays is the Open Wushu.
At least that's my reality. If your reality is different, it's allways good to learn.
And please, next time press the "reply" so I recieve an e-mail knowing that you've replied and don't take a month to answer

mantis is no wushu |:
just because he has the speed and it doesn't look to traditional, it doesn't mean it's wushu. Besides, wushu came from many traditional styles, so it's natural that some look similiar.
No tradicional... wushu modern
