Congrats on having an opinion, tetonvalleysoccer. your friends film isnt as popular as this, so this drags on? After watching all of em, this actually moves pretty quickly, others, longer. The others actually tried too hard to pander to the lusts of the arts council. This film took the ideas of the festival and creatively ran with it. The lourve line was not forced as in most of the others. Nice attempt to bolster your friends film in this contest by bashing the one that has the most views.
I feel a lot of jealousy coming from your camp, mr. drw90. It appears your groupie friends from "hollywood" high school seemed to avoid this entry at all costs. They "politely" commented on everyone elses entry, ie "hey, good film guys! check ours out!" essentially fishing for views, while this found its own viewers, with no comment from talkjawking
I am sorry for those harsh words, and you're right poetamaru, i was jealous. I didn't mean to take my anger out on another filmmaker. Congrats brandonhatch.
So, why exactly are you dragging me in on this argument? You must not be very good at counting, because I checked all the 48 hour movies and counted ONE film that I remarked "check ours out". All the comments were friendly critiques on the films I LIKED. That said, I would like to mention that with Second Glance, we weren't trying to make a film that "pandered on the lusts of the arts council," we were, like any other legitimate filmmaker, yourself, too, making a movie that we wanted to make.
