I was skeptical after reading a couple comments comparing your voice to Keith's, but honestly, you do him more justice than probably anyone I've come across. You have a very smooth, warm voice. I can definitely hear Keith in you.
Truly, an excellent job. You've done him proud.

What great tribute, and noone deserves it more than Kieth Whitley. You know this song is kinda like the songs Kieth used to sing. May be one day when I get to heaven I'll look Keith up and tell him how his songs got me through the bad times in my life.
Just how the song" I'm Over You, still brings tears to my eyes and how I' m no stranger to the rain motivated me to get up and live again.

Great song. The "keith how many" hook is really brilliant. The song begins by wondering how many times he tried to get his life on track, then goes on to happier things. I heard this song right after watching the 5 parts of his life story on youtube. The ending--in two hours he drank himself to death--something like 20 shots--that was my first "Keith how many" thought when I saw the title. Thank G0d this song is so uplifting. Good on you Ernie--it's a fine thing you've done here.

WoW. Ernie you're a great singer. Love this song and love the Whiskey and Women song you do too. Heard you on Big "D's" bluegrass hour out of Hazard Ky. I just ordered your Chill of Lonesome CD off the net. And to answer blugras32's question, this Keith How Many song is on "The Hangman" cd. Just google "the hangman ernie thacker" and it'll pull it up. You can count me as a big "Ernie Thacker & Route 23" fan. I plan to buy all your cd's so keep um coming brother. Hope you are doing gr8 Ernie.

Thank you so much. This video means so much to me. We were all having such a good weekend. He (Ernie)wanted to know if people would love this song as much as they do. We all loved it. This was the last show I saw of them before his accident. Thanks again and I love you Sweet Child Of Mine. Veniece
