A car developed by high-school students in Indonesia is being promoted as a way of kickstarting the country's own automobile industry.

Virtually all of the country's 24 million cars are made by foreign companies and with it a handsome profit.

But now local officials are restarting the initiative to get a locally produced version on the road.

Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Solo, central Java.
