  • I tore my ACL and meniscus in Iraq in October 2007 and didn't get surgery until August 2008 because the military doctors just said that "it's just a sprain". Surgery was longer than expected, supposedly due to the neglect and severe wear over the 10 months of continued work, training, marching, and running. My physical therapy was also only 3 months long. I sure wish I had Dr. Karas!!!

  • I tore my ACL and twisted my tibia the day before I turned "Sweet 16". And the same day I tore mine, a football player tore his. Our rooms in the hospital were right next to each other. The doctor came in and told me they couldn't help for another 2 months, but then he went to the football players room and told him they could get him into emergency surgery right away. Can someone tell me why that's fair?

  • @TeamFlyHigh im 14 in a month and a month ago i had an acl replacement. i couldnt wait till i was 18 because it was comletely torrn and i had to replace it!

  • Thanks! I'm just 16 yeara old and i have a tored ACL 4 months ago... The doktors say that I cant be operated on my knee until I'm at least 18 years old :( I wear a kneebrace now (an expensive one) but my knee still swallowed, the doktors said my knee will be on normal size after 6 weeks, can someone tell me how it could be swallowed for so long?
