Assumed a force exerted is exerted in a way that supports the movements of the running body, the body would adapt to it so it would be better to use such a system just when it counts, I think. If it doesnt support the body, the body would have to bring up some force to balance that interfering/disturbing force, I think. You mentioned the increasing time of impact and that made me think of a trampoline effect. And that though brought me to the next. You want to know it? Its not a catchquestion.

Its not an attack on Newton, I am just trying to explain to you that you can not escape it. And, that you do not understand Physics. I find that funny that you keep talking about a subject you know nothing about. When you do decide to study the subject, I warn you, many things that seem intuitive are not in physics.

If that is all what you see in such a shoesole then go for it. The 'energy returning' effect will be so marginal that it wont make a difference except for the seller unless the sole is a pistorious-effect-spring-like thing. Is that clear enough for you or do you still feel an attack on newton? I dont know what class you took but if your knowledge makes you fall for such marketing bullshit then I dont know what other class you could take to compensate that.

No, your wrong, this is a system, I suggest you research Newtons 3 laws and conservation of momentum. I believe that they are referencing in that quote you placed, the fact that objects can exert a force, but can not posses one. Meaning that it increases the time of impact, lowering the amount of force. It is very interesting to see the recoil action as the sole uses conservation of momentum and exerts a force in return. There is lots more to it though, You need to take a class on physics.

You lack in reading comprehension and anatomy if you read out something that contradicts physics, wisenheimer. "Completely new Boost™ foam midsole packs in the best energy returning.." There is no such thing as 'energy returning' from a sole of a shoe. There is maybe a saving, a better shockabsorption and less weight but nothing more. Must be difficult to understand I pointed at that.

You obviously do not understand physics. Simple, Ft=fT, Its all part of Newton's laws.

I can not wait, I hope Adidas makes some in hiking or combat boots for the troops. In Iraq the Adidas and 5.11 tactical "high-speed" boots that I had were so great. I hope Adidas makes some in boots:) 0331 Combat Vet
