This is a reconstruction of an actual flute found in the early 20th century in the Mojave Desert. The original artifact dates back to the 1800's. This flute is a PVC pipe reconstructed to the specifications of the original with the same tuning... Very haunting, reminds me of middle eastern music and definitely feels like a desert instrument... This PVC version is made my Mark Purtil http://www.etsy.com/shop/anasazidream
The wood version is made by Coyote Oldman. http://www.coyoteoldman.com/
Nicely done. What a great video presentation. Thank you for doing this for Mark's flute!

I am blessed by two of Mark Purtill's flutes. One 6 hole Mojave and One Anasazi. He takes such pride in construction and the song is wonderful.

Mike: Thanks for such an in-depth exploration and presentation of my flute. You really go after the tone and feeling in the instrument!
