  • Can you re-flash the same Lifted TSOP with the original bootloader? also how would i go about doing so. thanks

  • wheres flux?

  • o hai! u uploaded our old video :D made this when was working with engel to show him how easy it was, at the time he was sending modem's to europe to get flash chips replaced...

Pointless trivia: Used old old ikegami 3 tube broadcast camera, U-Matic vtr, and a blinding 1000W halogen lamp off to the side. Input'd using ATI allinblunder.. borrowed frenz 300mhz imac and an obtained ( >_>) copy of finalcut for editing. Originally had Boards o Canada as the soundtrx but engel changed it ( u_u);/

  • what chip do you replace it with an where can i get loads? many thanks, good visual education for the deviuos mind.

  • like jiggaman said....."what is this for" ?

(my guess it gives you internet access for free) As long as they havnt turned it off by the green box outside :)

  • Hot air gun and stanley knife is much much easier i think anyway, but have done it this was too but only once.

  • add more solder to the bridged area m8, then flux , then heat- then put solder wick close and heat solder with flux it should always run strainght to wick - theres always a stuborn bit! always pull wick away 1st before the iron as u might already have out!! how tracks r usually damaged... i did on my first 1..hope all goes well for u though - not every1 has old boards to prastice on like i had - but try n find old circuits that may have tsops or similar chips to practice on!!!

  • cheerz man, i used this vid only and on my second attempt it was dare i say near on perfect i had 2 old 120 abits lying around soo i used these to practice on b4 i set to work on the 250/255s i had..patience common sense and a basic soldering skill already is beneficial...i used a £5 iron with cinicak shaped end like u cheap solder flux and wick i think the secrets in the flux-well it was with me!! cheerz again m8 very handy indeed...

  • whats this for?
