Sorry to say but you are incorrect in your description. The Metropolitan Opera was founded in 1883 and had their Centenial Gala in 1993. This appears to be a gala event from The Met but is certainly not the 25th anniversary of The Met.

I've had the immense priviledge of being a super in a production featuring Mr. Ramey. Not only is he a man with a glorious voice, he is the consumate professional...treating everyone (from lowly supers to fellow stars) with the same flawless courtesy, humor and respect.

My father's father sang bass at the Met, my dad had a chance to, and now I'm learning. I pray that I can sing even a fraction as good as Mr. Ramey. He brought tears to my eyes here.
