http://www.crutchfield.com/I-rYTVc000/KTP445 See how easy it is to add the KTP-445 Power Pack to your Alpine stereo. The Power Pack increases your Alpine stereo's power to 45 watts/channel.

  • Does this unit power down when you shut your vehicle off? I have installed it with an Alpine CDA-105 unit and I seem to have a battery that isn't as strong as it should be in the mornings.

  • @onebad70ss The power pack uses the same 12 Volt switched power lead as the Alpine stereo and should turn off with the receiver. While any aftermarket stereo uses a constant 12 Volt power for retaining your settings, this power draw should not be enough to drain the battery when left overnight. HTH!--Crutchfield

  • does the power pack work with non alpine head units

  • @Zone6atlantian Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. No. The Alpine power pack is only recommended for use with compatible Alpine car stereos. I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you there. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

  • Quick question: Does the Alpine KTP-445 Power Pack have a REMOTE wire ?

I'm wonder if I can use it on a different set up but I really need to turn on & off the amp and my head unit already provides a 12v just for that.

The second question: Is there any chance to find male and female connectors like the one that's on the Alpine head unit and the original wires? This way I don't have to cut the original connectors and if something doesn't work fine at least I can return the product.

    Thank You.

Yes, the harness for the KTP-445 has a turn on lead.

Also, splicing into the wiring for this product at all will void the warranty. It is only designed for use with compatible Alpine head units.

Hope that helps, call us if you have more questions.

  • @dcarriger Good question. There are no provisions for mounting the KTP-445 power pack. It plugs directly into the harness connection on a compatible Alpine stereo and the Alpine’s stereo harness connects to the output of the power pack which wires to the vehicle harness. No mounting required. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

  • Do you need to mount it?

or can u just throw it behind the glovebox?

  • @FabianFant Not a stupid question at all. The power pack is designed to plug directly into Alpine stereos only and is not recommend for use in any other application. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.815.0030--Crutchfield
