your playing is brilliant powerful yet intricut like stevie ray and hendrix

Sounds very thin and boxy with a lot of mids like a el84 powered amp through a small cabinet.

@mirkus21 which hot rod? a hot rod isnt an amp, its a series of amps

@hawg427 I can get superb tone out of my SS-60 in the Bassman channel and tweaking around the Burn channel with the EQ. Forget the Peaveys. Fender all the way!!! :)

@t0psecretshit How have you found it ? are you still happy with it ? How is it in a band situation ? thanks.

@gr8bluesgtr I had the hot rod... and never felt I was playing a Fender amp... ... I tried the new version and it´s the same !!!
Fender amps are the traditional to me... and this is very sweet singing ...and looking for texas? yes this one! GREAT DEMO

i have an extremely important question- i have a hrd- is there any mods i can do to it to make it sound like the blues junior- when i turn it up on the clean channel past four the breakup sound is terrible in combo with my ocd. is there a mod that i can do to make it sound like a blues junior because i love the blues junior sound but its not loud enough for the venues i play

I know it´s not the most apropriate to but with the proper settings, can you play hard rock or maybe even some metal on the Blues jr? Thanks

Wow, great tone. No wonder these little amps have been a hit.

What guitar are you playing here? I mean I know its a Strat but which one? What great tone?
great tone, mate!
how do you like your hot rod deluxe? is it way louder clean than BJ? how do you set it?

I don't have the HRD anymore, but it's a great sounding amp, although way, way louder than a Blues Junior.

When you say "Tweed edition" do you mean the NOS with the Jensen speaker or did u just get the tweed option instead of tolex?

Tweed with Jensen.

You can get SRV out of any amp, just like Hendrix' tone, it's just your playing skills and style.

I agree to a point. With the right attack and style you can get his "sound" from any rig, but not his tone.
