Chapter 8
The watcher, the wolf version of a priest to a church, read ancient script the whole pack watched Taylor as he became their new alpha, their leader, their protector. The watcher brought out a dagger and said some more words before slicing into Taylor's hand, the blood dripped onto a sacred stump. Every pack had one to welcome the new alpha and other pack things.
Taylor wiped away the blood that oozed from his hand as he walked over to selena. He gave her a quick peck; she of course examined his hand. She took off her cloth hair band and wrapped it tight around his hand. He chuckled at how much she looked after him and pulled her into his arms. They now ruled the pack and they were only teenagers.
As they began to walk away the watcher called after them. They turned and waited for the small man to come over. He offered his respects for Taylor and after a couple of minutes asked "are you expecting?" he turned to selena. Her cheeks went bright red. She knew he was talking about being pregnant and she shook her head "you are mating?" selena thought she was going to die of embarrassment. She wasn't going to explain her sex life to him. Then she thought for a moment. Her and Taylor mated almost every night and she wasn't pregnant... she faded out the conversation and let Taylor talk. She was worried, why wasn't she pregnant? She was healthy, right?
"Selena?" Taylor asked giving her a quick squeeze; she came back to reality with tears running down her cheeks. Taylor wiped them away "Sel, what's wrong" more tears fell and she thought "what is wrong with me?" she didn't say a word to Taylor and she quickly left Taylor and went home and curled up in bed.
Taylor soon came home and found selena "selena, what's going on? Your scaring me" she looked up from her pillow and whispered "why am i not pregnant?" he gave her a strange look and sat on the bed. He pulled her into his arms as she wept "what if there's something with me?" he kissed her hair "there is nothing wrong with you selena, it's just maybe we're not ready for children yet. Maybe in a year we will be but maybe out bodies are telling us something." She looked up at Taylor "you won't leave me if i can't have babies?" he chuckled slightly and kissed her lips "couldn't even if i wanted too"
