I preferred Zinedine Zidane at the time and did not like Rivaldo, but now I see what a great footballer he was. He was fast, skilful, strong and had a great eye for goal. I STILL think Zidane is at the top of the pile in the last couple of decades, but Rivaldo is certainly a special player.

@passavloss I'm sure if he'd played in a better Barca he'd have scored more goals. As it is he scored 8 goals in 2 world cups and got 25-30 a season.

@Christoffski I think that if he could make an average good shoot with his right foot,he would have scored much more goals than he already did.....but of course he liked shooting with his left...its obvious.....thanks....))

@passavloss What I mean is that he used his right leg to get the most out of his left foot. I don't think the incident affected it. I just don't think he liked shooting on it.

@Christoffski hey man...i ve told u I cant speak english that well and you are talking to me about horses and carriages theories......whats all these stuff...???i dont understand anything...sorry,but english is not my mother tongue....i ve just asked u if that incident in Brazil affected his right leg...??I know that he perfetcted his left foot after that and is logic.....my question is very clear....

I just don't think he liked it. He has autism and probably believes in the horse and carriage theory. An F1 car is driven by the rear wheels and the front ones steer it. Rivaldo perfected his left foot for striking and caressing the ball - the right was used to propel him. It was a very powerful and agile leg. Like an owls neck!! Underrated. People ignore the leg, focusing too much on the foot. Like the elephant in the room it caused more damage than people realise. Standing foot. :) The trigger

@Christoffski i think that his goal agains athletic bilbao is probalby a "backheel"....)))....one more question....i ve read in rivaldo's bio that during his days in brazil, one day hi got injured while he was trying to jump a wall....that wall had fallen down oh rivaldo's right leg....he has a scar as a reminder....do you know if that incident affected his right leg...??and because of that now,he cant shoot with that...(although he has scored 3-4 goals in his carreer with that)....thanks....)))

@passavloss He scored a few in his career. But not in this video. Watch "Rivaldo - True Legend by KiJu " if you want to see one of them. It's not his best, though.
