Timothy Sandefur, Principal Attorney at the Pacific Legal Foundation, discusses how the evolution of law in the United States has affected our property rights. Beginning with discussions of the founding fathers, Timothy describes how our rights, especially property rights, have eroded as a consequence of progressive ideas and judges. To reverse this cycle, Timothy states that we must strengthen the philosophical arguments of private property rights.

  • @killerbee2k I'm actually only 16. I lied on the youtube sign up by saying I was in that demographic so I could watch every video, because a lot of videos get 'false flagged' and then if you are under 18 you can't watch them. I doubt I'm the only one who did this. I think I said I was born in 1980 lol

  • @WinterXL Intentions mean nothing. Even in the case of some of the worst villians of history, in their twisted worldview they intended to achieve what they perceived to be positive objectives.

  • @FebbieVanceGarcia from the video statistic demographic. And sorry I should have been more clear because its not "only" viewed by men age 25-54 but its most popular. And from all the academic vids I have seen on youtube this is the demographic that they are most popular with. And I would think that there are just as many women on youtube as men. For example the music videos always have shared gender popularity to the age demographic the music is directed too.

  • @killerbee2k I wasn't aware that I'm not a woman who's not in that age range. :P I'm curious where you got that information, too.

  • @buriedbyfate there are cases and cases and actual quotes that go in the other direction. it's also important to consider that someone with a different philosophy doesn't necessarily have nefarious intent.

  • "...and reason teaches us that we shouldn't take things from people or beat them up...." In what way does reason teach this? What was Locke's reasoning?

  • I may just be a idiot from studying sociology, but does anyone else have any thought on why EVERY documentary, lecture and debate on youtube is only viewed by the demographic of men age 25-54?

  • @dachickenman because we actually have the drive and desire to keep moral rights. Most people don't, because they are afraid to tell government what to do. I just want to be left alone by aggressors...

  • @keeban assumption? The guy cited case after case and actual quotes... That's hardly assumption.

  • I don't know why limited gov't people still think we have gov'ts to protect us from bullies, all the while complaining about how gov't is the biggest bully around and has the ability to do more harm than any other entity. Why do people still hold out hope that if we simply write a better constitution, or whatever, we can have a state that's limited and won't grow and grow?
