This is the sixth of 6 segments of a talk by Leslie Feinberg given on September 5th in Syracuse, NY at her birthday celebration. The celebration included the first showing of many of Leslie's photographs and the publishing of her latest book, "Rainbow Solidarity in Defense of Cuba.   • Since language is very discriminating on the level of genders, why choose the feminine, though?

  • I've written a lot about the pronouns I use: see below. But I want to restate here, as we did @ my 60th birthday, that none of the pronouns that others use for me are "wrong."

  • why does the link use the feminine pronoum "her"? Isn't that a bit akward?

  • Why awkward? For more info on pronouns, see the intro to "Trans Liberation" entitled "We are all works in progress."

  • I loved your book Stone Butch Blues.I loved the letter at the beginning.Wondering did you ever do a follow up of what happened to some of your friends after that.That book is one of the few books i save i love it so much.
