This 300-foot industrial-scale turbine (600 kw) in Newburyport, MA is sited just 319-feet from the public pedestrian rail trail, 350-feet from heavily-traveled U.S. Route 1, and 800-feet from the nearest residence. During the public hearing process, the developer insisted "[the turbine] was a long way from the rail trail and if the ice did shed it would be directly below."

I believe we have the tech. now to put wind mills on our homes and either heat our homes or charge batteries or charge cars the tech is already there for personal home wind mills generate our own power individually but big business will fight it till the end

@s6u6r6f6 I commission these"hippie green pieces of shit" and you, my friend are wrong. modern turbines are relatively inexpensive and technologically advanced do some research, it's interesting, and free.

garbage defunct 1930s technology. The REA used to put wind generators up for farmers who didnt have electricity until power lines were strung. But they DUMPED this crap idea when cheaper forms of electrical generation were available. Coal, gas, oil, nuclear...CHEAPER, get it? not some green trendoid government hobby farm of pinwheels that piss away time effort money and land.
