Marissa Jean Monroe was born on July 10th, 2005 a beautiful and healthy little girl. Sadly, her life was forever changed when she was diagnosed with Stage IV High-Risk Neuroblastoma on November 27th, 2006. Her only symptom was a black eye that randomly appeared and never went away. She went into NED (No Evidence of Disease) for a short time but then sadly relapsed on Oct. 19th, 2007. lowering her chance of survival. She bravely battled for another eight long months and gained her gilttering, and golden angel wings on June 13th, 2008. She is now in God's Kingdom, where she will be forever safe and free from any harm.

your Mommy, Daddy and sister Kenzie miss you so!
I do not own any of these beautiful photos nor did I know Marissa personally but her light shone far and wide enough through her website where her battle is documented.

A lovely tribute to a brave little fighter. They need to find a cure for this horrible harbringer of death and destruction. I'm sure her family appreciates the help to make sure their angel is remembered in the hearts of all that hear her story

Wow, this is so sad. And, I don't know why, but it makes me sadder because I share this girl's whole name (first middle and last). RIP other Marissa, sorry you never got a chance to grow up.

Marissa died on my 15th birthday. Marissa your family misses you. Marissa now you are 3 years old & in preschool in heaven.
