Zicam Cold Remedies Withdrawn Due To Risk Of Loss Of Sense Of Smell

FDA has issued a warning that zinc-containing cold remedies administered directly into the nose have been associated with anosmia, which is a loss of the sense of smell. This warning is directed at several over-the-counter products marketed by Matrixx Initiatives: Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel, Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, and Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs Kids Size, which has been discontinued. FDA is advising people to stop using them. FDA has received more than 130 reports of anosmia in people using intranasal products that contain zinc. In some cases, the problem occurred with the first dose of the product, and in other cases it began after later doses. The anosmia may be long-lasting or even permanent, while the common cold usually goes away without treatment in seven to ten days.

This is a conspiracy against Homeopathic Medicine. These products work and that is the bottom line. Don't people know a cold can keep you from tasting and smelling! I read some hoax email that a consumer said her nose burned after she used it which then led to her loss of smell. Yes your nose may burn if you sniff the product up but you are not following the directions if this happens. Folks who are too stupid to follow the directions should be sued for stupidity and forbidden to use medicine.

I dont care if a Nigerian invented this product! the fact is it works 100% and the FDA is a GOD DAMN fraud! Its no coincidence that they managed to get it off the market before flu season.. Is it related to the health reform in some way hummmm..I am just about fed up with the fraud in this country and the greedy bastards that play with our lives.. Lucky for me, I got my stash..
