This is a work in progress. Most pictures are original. Some downloaded from the MIND website. Others were downloaded by careful search in the internet for images representing ideal Filipino Doctors.
If I am inadvertently infringing on any copyright or any person depicted in the video would wish to have their picture removed, please leave me a message and I shall do so immediately.
Song is Taylor Hick's "Do I make you proud?"

  • What pride is there in being a good doctor? For one to thrive, one must be the best and USA can't just employ mediocre Filipino doctors. They are regarded as quack doctors in the US. Nice try but if this video is trying to paint a good image of the doctors in the Philippines, it has miserably failed.

  • Neither can the USA (or the Philippines) just employ mediocre american doctors. Mediocrity, you may be surpised, can be found everywhere even among real americans. i am amazed by some ignorant comments on this video and my nurses video. I suggest a course in logic and humanity before posting.

  • docnataksil,

forgive oooohyahla, he's a confused ex-filipino, catholic with a heart of a muslim.(?) he must've been dropped when he was just a baby, and now he doesn't have a sense of what he is. he strives to slander the phil and the filipino people.

  • drunkennezz,

thanks! can you kindly edit out in your comment any reference to catholicism and islam or repost your comment without the phrase? It will cause more misunderstandings. cheers!

  • What a bunch of frantic propaganda. Sure there are talented Filipino doctors, but on the average they are not equal to those trained in the US, Canada, or most European countries. Get a grip, Filipinos and lighten up! Oops, guess I shouldn't have said "lighten up". My bad.

  • Ok, before this gets out of hand...

the true measure of a doctor is in how much he/she cares. There is no one doctor from any race better or worse than any other one, whether from the Philippines, US, Canada, Europe, Guadalajara, or the Caribbeans. Once they pass a competency exam, they are all equal, regardless of origin and color and educational background - believe me I know.

    And no racial inuendos please.

  • i salute Filipino doctors for all their hardships and sacrifices. but i am just wondering...

why is it that many doctors in the Philippines are arrogant and very disrespectful to nurses? some even to the patients and their families?

  • That was for paramour4kas (what a name, must be gay)

  • @paramour4kas it's not about where you learned to be a doctor, it's about your perseverance and humility to learn and use that to help people. that is what being a doctor is all about. that is why it's called a never ending study

  • @oooohyahla Who are you to judge these doctors? Sure, maybe there are some doctors that are not that good, but there will be someone out there that will proove you wrong. Stop generalizing.

  • @ oooohyahla I can't believe what he wrote on the first line!... OH MY GOSH... Pride? Hahaha! You won't come out from your mother's womb without a doctor. If you think it's easy, why don't you go and try it out? And how dare you say that Filipino doctors are mediocre? Do you know what mediocre means? Want me to set and example? It's you. You are the mediocre. And the only think in the world that utters QUACK are ducks. WE Filipinos are not DUCKS that you can say offensive words on.

  • After seeing this video, it motivated me to come up with an alter video. I am a Filipino. I am still in search for the filipino doctor who has the expertise & humility to serve, someone who does not carry a bag of air in his head but instead a big heart . All the doctors i went to are big time doctors, but they were small time in terms of attitude and ethics. I wish that the culture of tsome filipino doctors would change for the better.

  • Wow! It touched my heart. Iba pa din talaga ang Filipino MD. Hope there is a part 2 of this video. I can lend some good pics for you. Good Job!

  • i think its a matter of financial saving as opposed to better doctors in the Philippines, but that is my opinion! also c-dif and mrsa are rampant in uk wards for example. overall i think it a mixture of factors, like you could get cheaper treatment, spend time with relatives, etc... don't underestimate western medicine is all im saying

  • pre wag ka mawalan ng tingin sa sarili mo kaya mo yan. kaya mong itaas ang bandila natin. LOL

  • you are absolutely right bro. They don't have clinical eye here they just rely on their hightech gadgets. LOL

  • Whether we like it or not, still many fil-americans go home and prefer treatment in Philippines. That is a fact. Oh I wonder, my friends and relatives from the US still calls me even Iam in UAE and ask for telephone consultation when they are sick. I am still don't consider myself as a good and well experienced doctor, but why is that???
