Ive done OVER 4100 homes in 22 yrs and have NEVER had 1 call back due to a "moisture" problem inside walls due to cellulose we blew in. Also ( and we do foam also) foam has decent R value but, its really cost prohibitive on older homes. Illinois Valley Insulation , north central Ill, 815 875 1901

Cellulose settles... Foam is where it's at!

I weatherize houses everyday, we blow exterior walls and attics oh and in Vermont most of the houses we work on are from the 1800's. you are the fool.

Celluose has been proven to be effective as an insulator and an airsealer. What kind of studies have you been involved in as a surveyor? Sounds to me like you're speaking outside your knowledge? Do you have any reasoning?
