Are they really really shimmery? because I bought a bronzer from rimmel that was sun 2 sun (I believe is what it was called?) and it was way toooooo shimmery and not natural, so i through it away.

@Rachey778 SOME ARE SHIMMERY OTHERS AREN'T TRY 021 SUNLIGHTS - no shimmer great bronzer light at first but easy to build :)

This is my first bronzer. I'm quite happy with it and at least with my current financial situation, I don't feel a need to experiment with more expensive brands. I used it more as a blush in early Spring, now that I'm darker it's just a natural overall cover and I just layer it more under my cheekbones for definition. I agree with all the things you pointed out.

How do you know which bronzer is matte and which is shimmery?
