Irvine Arditti, violin.

Cage wrote the first two books of Freeman Etudes with Paul Zukofsky, composed by using star charts and extensive lists of possible double, triple and quadruple stops put together by Cage with Zukofsky's collaboration. When he showed Zukofsky the beginnings of his third book of etudes, Zukofsky declared them impossible; the fragments went into hibernation until Cage's encounter with Irvine Arditti, who inspired him to continue the set.

  • Play this shit in the clubs!

  • @MoonMankkkkkk Maybe its not enjoyable to you, but there are people who do find this enjoyable, and they aren't wrong just because its not your kind of music. Also, you don't need to listen to Cage. We're not forcing you to. Its up here for people who like listening to it, so why don't you just go listen to other composers you do enjoy, I'm sure you'd be happier.
