Some uncomfortable facts for some of you people.
If we don't spay/neuter pets, the chances are they will breed rampantly. Don't say it wont happen, because it does, whether from another pet in your house, or from the general area.
This means more of said animal, which are often unwanted.
Unwanted pets are often abandoned, left to shelters, or killed.
But aparantly some of you people would rather slaughter animals than get them neutered. Nice logic, there.

Every puppy/kitten, dog/cat killed in a shelter came from an unsterilized animal. Spay/Neuter works!

Neutering ISN'T humane, it's not fixing, it's BREAKING. It causes health problems and behavior problems (but most people say they're better with these problems, because they become lazy and stay at home, and are nice to you because they can't be 'entertained' by having sex anymore)

@apurrinkitten your kinda dumb.. lol. this song are made to tease people who believe neutering is the solution..
e.g the last line, your cuter when your neutered, it means people alter the body of their cat by removing the genital so that they can be cuter. and you happily post this song to promote neutering.. lmao

@apurrinkitten Are you even aware that we human use vasectomy for birth control while animal gets their genital parts removed like extra unwant lump of meat?

Some animals do die on the table. Its surgery! The real health hazards are from the negative impact on hormonal and metabolism. Increases cancer, heart disease, etc.
Read the Journal of the AVMA. We have scientists that are working at exposing the abuse of spay/neutering and also creating an expose documentary.
Spay and neutering is a policy that has failed to stop the killing in shelters. Managing a shelter properly is the answer. Most directors are unqualifed. Every animal could be saved.

Every animal can not be saved and the shelters have been around for the last 40 years killing those that could not. Obviously with the millions of animals being born just to die it seems to me that spaying and neutering is the ONLY answer.
Many shelters have become no kill thanks to the education and efforts of many dedicated people not just their directors.
But a No-Kill facility becomes quickly overwhelmed leaving many others homeless on the streets.

We need both. We need good and affordable if not free spay/neuter and veterinaian services for these animals and good safe no-kill shelters for those who need it.
Lets give the shelters back the job they were originally created for.
Returning lost animals to their rightful owners.
Let's help them ALL become No-Kill.
Please spay/neuter your pets!

PS....
To say no animal ever died on a surgery table would be a lie. But spaying and neutering surgery are simple procedures. Unless there are underlying hidden health issues or allergies to medications or anesthesia most cats are back to normal in 24 to 48 hours.
There are precautions you can take such as blood testing before any surgery to help locate or reconize any potential for additional complications that may be hidden.

Also we advise any cat that is older than 6 years or has a history of illness get blood tested as well.

pfwinbar in a perfect world I would agree with you. Leave the cats alone let them have families, and everyone take care of them!
The truth of the matter is...
There are just not enough homes for them all!
